Insights into aquaponics: From theory to practice
School Projects & Kindergarten Days
We believe that curiosity about nature should be awakened at a young age.
UrbanTide therefore offers tailor-made programs for schools and kindergartens. In guided tours through our facility, the children learn in a playful way how the cycle between fish and plant works. You can plant small seedlings yourself and watch the fish take on their task as "gardeners". These hands-on experiences create a deep understanding of ecosystems and sustainable food production.
Workshops & Seminars
We regularly offer workshops and seminars for private individuals and trade visitors.
Our courses range from basic introductions to home aquaponics to professional planning and the construction of larger systems to specialized topics such as water chemistry and pest management. Participants not only receive theoretical knowledge, but also the opportunity to learn and ask questions directly at our facility.
Research and innovation
As a non-profit foundation, research is a central pillar of our work. We cooperate with universities and research institutions to continuously optimize aquaponics technology. Our focus is on the development of energy-efficient systems, the testing of new plant and fish species in aquaponics, and the optimization of nutrient cycles. The results of this research feed directly into our educational offerings and secure our status as thought leaders in the industry.
